What is Breast Pump?

A Breast Pump is “a device that helps in extracting milk from the breasts” of a lactating mother. The milk can be collected in the collecting bottles and stored for later use. The pumps available in market can be categorized as:

1. Manual Pump
2. Electric Pump:
   • Single electric
   • Double electric

1. Manual Pump
   Manual pump makes the entire process of pumping very tiring as you need to use your hands to press the handle so the milk can be extracted, and it really tires your hands.
2. Electric Pump
   Electric pumps are automatic pump and you don’t need to press on any piston/handle of the pump to extract the pump. Single electric pump is one side pumping only while with double electric pumps you can pump both sides.
